What travellers tell us after they stay

★★★★★

“I booked the Quebec stay because of Yara’s notes about the views — and she was right. It felt like we had already been introduced to the place.”

Helena P. · Montreal
★★★★★

“Finally a hotel site that does not push deals. Just honest rooms, sleep quality and whether the lobby felt welcoming. That is what I needed.”

Marcus L. · Calgary
★★★★★

“Oscar’s Vancouver piece helped me choose a quieter floor. The request form was simple and someone followed up the next morning.”

FAQ

Do hotels pay for a review?

No. We do not accept payment for coverage. Our writers book and stay independently, and we disclose affiliate relationships on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

How do reservation requests work?

You send a short form on our site. We pass your request to our booking partners, who contact you to arrange the stay. No payment is taken on Serene Getaway.

Are the guest quotes edited?

Guest reviews are reproduced exactly as supplied — including spelling and unfinished sentences. Only our staff articles are written by our team.

Why are there no prices?

Rates change constantly. We focus on atmosphere, sleep and service so the review stays useful long after a nightly figure would have shifted.

Can I suggest a hotel?

Yes — write to us through the feedback page or email [email protected]. We read every note, even when we cannot visit immediately.

Who writes the reviews?

Named staff authors with clear voices. Meet them on Our Writers and follow the byline links from each review page.
